Supervision

Supervision is the cornerstone of good practice: its purpose is to establish accountability, support decision-making, professional development and wellbeing. The process of supervision between the member of staff and the supervisor ensures a link between the values, policies and statutory responsibilities of the organisation and the delivery of practice excellence.

Further information can be found in the Adult Social Care Supervision policy

Camden Adult Social Care (ASC) wants to ensure that good quality, strengths based supervision is in place to assure best practice, support staff wellbeing and improve outcomes for residents, families and carers in our Camden community.

The ASC supervision policy sets out the expectations around supervision for all staff. The supervision policy covers:

  • expectations on supervisees and supervisors around supervision
  • Camden's model of supervision
  • roles and responsibilities
  • practicalities including recording
  • the supervision agreement
  • the supervision discussion record/agenda

Further details can be found in Camden's Adult Social Care supervision policy.
