Arranging visits to Extra care schemes
Visits can be arranged either before or after the referral process has begun, depending on what best supports the resident to make an informed decision and to gain a clear understanding of what Extra Care offers.
- Staff are not permitted to make unannounced visits to Extra Care schemes with applicants.
- All visits must be arranged in advance with the Scheme Manager, who will provide a guided tour.
Requests for Vacancy Information
- Staff should not contact Extra Care schemes directly to request information about vacancies or voids.
- All vacancy information must be obtained through the Extra Care Development Officer, who oversees availability across all schemes, and scheme information is also shared with practitioners through a fortnightly email update to ensure they remain informed about current vacancies and service changes.
