Supervision

Supervision is the cornerstone of good practice: its purpose is to establish accountability, support decision-making, professional development and wellbeing. The process of supervision between the member of staff and the supervisor ensures a link between the values, policies and statutory responsibilities of the organisation and the delivery of practice excellence.

"Supervision needs to be a space where both parties feel able to be open and where both take responsibility for what happens" (Wonnacott 2012).
