MOSAIC
The following provides general information for social work staff about MOSAIC and how to get help from the MOSAIC team.
MOSAIC development is overseen by the Quality Assurance Service and staff are requested to approach the service should any changes to the system be required.
Staff should be familiar with the MOSAIC policy statement
Staff should also be aware that use of MOSAIC is monitored and regular audits of staff access to the system for the following:
- Any unusual activity e.g. staff accessing records not allocated to them, unusual work patterns etc.
- Where staff access their own records or those of family, friends, neighbours, celebrities etc.
- 3rd party access of unrelated cases
- Movers and leavers to ensure accounts have been ended correctly.
- If workers have not accessed Mosaic for 3 months of longer, we will make contact and query if access is still required
- Checking worker roles and ‘act for’ set ups are appropriate
The MOSAIC support guidance for staff document contains basic instructions for staff and contact details of MOSAIC superusers who can provide advice and support to individual staff as needed.
The MOSAIC overview presentation explains how the system is structured and provides information about it's functionality.
Staff should be aware that there is a contingency plan for any MOSAIC system outage in order to ensure work can continue.
All social work staff new to Camden must carry out mandatory MOSAIC training as part of their induction within 3 days of starting.
