Bowel cancer is the UK’s 2nd biggest cancer killer, but it shouldn’t be because it’s treatable and curable if its diagnosed early! We know that people with learning disabilities are less likely to complete their bowel screening which puts them at risk of undetected cancer, or diagnosis at a much later stage.
Please can we raise awareness around the bowel screening kits (applies to people over 50 years) both to promote health and wellbeing of staff as well as the residents who draw on our services.
