This section provides an overview of the multi-disciplinary teams within Mental Health.

Mental Health

From 1 November 2024, Mental Health services in Camden are provided in collaboration with North London NHS Foundation Trust (NLFT) and  Camden Council, as part of a Section 75 agreement. The NLFT is formed of two previously separate mental health trusts working in partnership that have merged (Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust and Barnet, Enfield & Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust.

There are various integrated Health and Social Care services that provide specialist input to support Camden residents with mental ill health.

For further information, please see the C&I website and Mental Health Service structure charts.  Note that C&I Mental Health Service is currently being restructured and an updated structure chart will be available in 2025.

You can also find guidelines on good practice for language and images about dementia here.

The Early Intervention Service (EIS) is dedicated to the assessment and management of people who have presented to specialist Mental Health Services with a first episode of psychosis. They aim to give people the best chance of recovery after such an episode and to reduce the severity of relapses. They tend to work with people for a period of up to 3 years to ensure the best possible outcomes for individuals.

EIS provides support to people living in Camden as well as Islington.

The team is based at Greenland Road close to Camden Town Station.
