Safeguarding
Guidance on expected timeframes for responding to safeguarding enquiries and an enquiry report template have been co-produced with our care providers to reduce delays and support their investigations.
This guidance has been developed to support care providers when they are asked to undertake key aspects of enquiries that may be required to look into allegations of abuse or neglect, and sets out the Local Authority’s expectations in relation to timeframes and the information required.
Expectations have also been agreed for Adult Social Care in giving timely updates and feedback to providers on the progression or closure of safeguarding enquiries.
An Enquiry report template has also been developed to support care providers undertaking investigations as part of s42.2 enquiries and ensure the Local Authority has all the information it needs to enable it to decide what action (if any) is necessary to help and protect the adult.
