Safeguarding means protecting an adult’s right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect.  In this section you will find information about Modern Day Slavery and guidance on how to respond. 

The Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA) has produced a range of videos on how to spot the signs of modern slavery, methods used by traffickers to exploit their victims, and victims accounts

The following resources can support you with understanding your duties and responsibilities to identify and safeguard victims of modern slavery, as well as how identify potential victims, and how to refer, with consent, to the National Referral Mechanism.
