Heat meters
A heat meter is a device that measures the heating and hot water in a home and can assist in monitoring and controlling energy consumption. With the heat meter, tenants and leaseholders pay for their actual individual consumption based on the readings from the meters. The bill is reviewed on an annual basis. If a tenant has used less than they have paid they receive a refund.
Heat meters have been installed on estates with communal heating systems. All the sites listed below had had their heat charges for 2023/24 based upon metered charges. There will be more sites coming on board with effect 1 April 2024.
