C&I Mental Health Trust

Mental Health Services in Camden are provided in partnership with the Camden & Islington Foundation Trust (C&I) and Camden Council as part of the a Section 75 agreement.  This section provides an overview about the range of integrated health and social care services that are available and social care leads that deliver specialist care and support to people in Camden with mental ill health.

For further information please visit the C&I website.

Camden Council has approximately 50 Social Workers and Managers across Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) to contribute to the integrated way of working in Mental Health.  The Social Workers work as Care Coordinators and are spread across 5 different divisions, more than 12 individual specialist teams or services and located in 7 different locations across Camden.

For more information about where the Camden’s Social Workers in C&I are situated, please see the Structure Charts for Social Care Staff.

The Social Workers are responsible for completing most of the Social Care activity in Mental Health.  They are currently implementing strength – based principles into daily practice.

The Social Workers in C&I do not always have access to Camden systems and it is important to communicate with them, in most instances, via their CANDI email addresses.

You can also contact the Mental Health Social Workers as well as their Managers as a group, by using the established MentalHealthSocialWorkers distribution list on your Outlook. The distribution list is regularly updated to provide a comprehensive and accurate communication tool.
