Domestic abuse

Domestic abuse is defined as an incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, coercive, threatening, degrading and violent behaviour, including sexual violence, within the context of an intimate relationship. Violence and abuse can also be instigated by other family members.

CSFH works jointly with Camden’s domestic abuse service, Camden Safety Net (CSN), and with the national charity Solace in order to provide support to victims of domestic abuse and their children.

The CSFHDomestic Violence Joint Working Protocol With CSN Solace/CSN/Solace joint working protocol sets out what services are on offer locally and how social workers can access support and work co-operatively with CSN and Solace to protect victims and their children.

Social workers wishing to refer a service user to Solace should use the Solace referral form:
