Children and young people's disability service (CYPDS)

Camden’s Children and Young People’s Disability Service (CYPDS) is the main provider of statutory social care services for children and young people aged 0-25 with complex needs arising from their disability.

Where a child does not need statutory social work intervention but requires some services and support due to disability, this can be provided via the short breaks provision.

The CYPDS can agree levels of support based on an assessment of the child's needs which will become the child's short breaks plan. These are overseen and reviewed by the Short Breaks Panel.
