RIX wikis
A wiki is a digital About Me that reflects a person’s interests and goals. Like a personal website, it can be easily shared and updated and is designed to change and develop with the person.
Wikis can include photos, videos, sounds, and attachments.
A wiki is owned by the person themselves, and has a keeper who can access and edit the information. The keeper could be a parent, carer, teacher, support worker, or personal assistant.
How to get a wiki set up for a person
Please contact Richard Lohan or Jane Saunders (CLDS Accessible Information Team) if you are interested in having a wiki for someone and we will contact you directly. Anyone having a wiki as part of the Living a Good Life project will first need to fill in a What Matters form – this is an essential part of the content preparation process.
Wikis by topic
As well as individual wikis, there are also publicly available wikis which are broken up by topics. Examples of information covered by public wikis are:
- Direct payments
- Housing
- Activities to do in Camden
- Safeguarding
- Transitioning from childhood to adulthood
You can also find an Activities Wiki in the Resources section. The Resources section covers areas such as care and support, green spaces, and Shared Lives.
You can view the full selection of wikis by visiting rixwiki.org/camden.
