New What Matters workflow is coming from 31st October
Message from Margaretha Staines, Principal Social Worker:
I am writing to let you all know that you can sign up for some training in preparation for the launch of the new What Matters Workflow on 03 November 2025.
However, before you do that, read the contents below to ensure that you sign up to the right session for your role.
About the training:
How to book - All training sessions can be booked via the L&D Hub and using this link - Course: What Matters Workflow on Mosaic in Adult Social Care.
What to book - Sessions vary in terms of content, detail and length and are designed to deliver the right amount of training needed for the different roles in Adult Social Care (ASC). We don’t want to make anyone sit through unnecessary training on forms which they don’t use as part of their roles.
When to book - All sessions are uploaded and ready for you to book. We have made sessions available on most days of the week (for a month) and at different times to ensure that there is something that will hopefully accommodate everyone’s work schedule and demand. We will continue to add dates for more training as we go along and depending on the need.
Please sign up to only one session. You do not need to do all of the sessions.
Which session should you sign up for:
There are four different types of sessions and depending on your role, you will sign up for only one of the sessions.
Group 1 - Initial Contact Only: |
This session is for those staff who complete Initial Contacts only (formerly known as Initial Records) on Mosaic. They typically include Contact Camden and our ASC Team Clerks.
The dates for these sessions will be arranged directly with these two service areas and staff do not need to book via the L&D Hub.
|
Group 2 - Operational Teams: |
This session is mandatory for practitioners and managers in our operational teams like Neighbourhood Teams, Specialist Support Team, Learning Disability Services, Children and Young People with Disabilities Service and Mental Health Services.
This does not include practitioners and managers in our Hospital Discharge Teams or MASH Service.
|
Group 3 - Hospital Discharge Teams: |
This session is mandatory for those practitioners and managers who work in our Hospital Discharge Teams and who support discharges from acute hospital settings via the Discharge to Assess (D2A) process.
This group does not include those staff who work with discharges from Mental Health hospitals and settings.
|
Group 4 - General Session: |
This is an optional session which will provide a very high-level view of the new workflow as well as that changes that we made to it. It is mostly for non - operational staff and managers or those operational staff and managers who do not typically input into the What Matters workflow. It is ideal for our Data Analysts, Resource Coordination Team, etc.
This session is open to everyone who would like a high level overview of the new workflow and the changes that we made.

If you are unsure which group you should sign up to, then please speak to your direct line manager or reach out to Dee Karakurt (Senior Project Manager) - [email protected]
Hope this is clear but please let us know if you have any questions. We will be doing a lot more comms over the next month to ensure that everyone is ready and prepared for the launch.
Kind Regards
Margaretha StainesPlease do contact Efi Glover or Nicola Antoni, Mosaic Team, if you have any questions or concerns about any of these updates.
