Domestic violence is any threatening behaviour, violence or abuse that takes place in an intimate or family-type relationship. It is a pattern of controlling behaviour.

Camden SafetyNet have produced a new guide and training resources on with essential information for staff who work with residents on how to recognise the signs of abuse and where to go for help. Further information can be found in the guide.

The Government has released guidance as well as Women’s Aid and Safe Lives.

Refuge have released a series of safety tips for survivors during isolation. Their tech abuse chatbot function is particularly useful should the perpetrator be controlling the survivor’s devices.

Women’s Aid have released a series of safety advice for survivors who may be trapped in the house with perpetrators.

Rights of Women has published guidance for women trying to work out child contact arrangements during this difficult time. You can find the guidance here. Rights of Women continue to provide legal advice to women affected by gender based violence, the opening hours of their advice lines are subject to change – dull information can be found here.

The Department of Health and Women's Aid have also published guidance on how to support people with social care needs who are also experiencing coercive control. There is also an accompanying case study on developing safety plans.
