Information for new starters and staff in Camden about the ASC Workforce Strategy.

Workforce Strategy

This section provides a comprehensive workforce strategy for Adult Social Care. This strategy, and our action plan, sets out our vision for our social care workforce across Camden. It outlines the steps we will take to ensure everyone who works at Camden in Adult Social Care is happy, feels supported and has a strong sense of belonging. We’re also doing work to make sure our workforce is sustainable, and that people are able to develop and progress.

Further information can be found in the Camden Adult Social Care Workforce Strategy

Within this section of the practice guide you will find information about the ASC Workforce Strategy and our action plan, that sets out our vision for our social care workforce across Camden.

We are currently doing work to ensure our workforce is representative at all levels of the diverse communities we support and have the skills, knowledge and capabilities to provide high quality support to those who draw on our services.

We will report the progress on the action plan quarterly through the Supporting People Connecting Communities Board.

The development of this strategy has been informed by engagement with many stakeholders and partners including our internal workforce.

Through engagement with many stakeholders, the strategy has identified five key pillars each with specific visions and proposed actions:

  • Tackling inequalities and supporting staff with protected characteristics
  • Learning development and progression
  • Recruitment
  • Staff wellbeing and recognition
  • Working with our commissioned providers
