Research in Practice
Camden subscribes to high quality learning sources. We encourage staff to use and explore other sources to support learning and reflection.
Research in Practice - brings together academic research, practice expertise and the experiences of people accessing services, applying this knowledge to developing a range of resources and learning opportunities.
To access resources you need to go to the website www.researchinpractice.org.uk. You can then create an online account with your organisational email address (camden.gov.uk or candi.nhs.uk) which will give you full access to all the resources:
- Downloadable publications, podcasts and recorded webinars.
- Access places at national events, workshops and conferences.
- Access live one-hour online lunchtime learning workshops (webinars) by sector and subject experts – also available to all to watch back on the website.
- Sign up for the Research and Policy update, a monthly digest and review of the latest research and policy news, themed on relevant social care subjects.
- Sign up for the monthly e-bulletin for partners, signposting to news, information, newly published resources and upcoming events.
Making Research Count (MRC)
Making Research Count (MRC) is a national research dissemination initiative, established by a consortium of universities and developed by regional centres over twenty years ago. The primary aim of MRC has always been to bridge the gap between knowledge, policy and practice. With over 35 local subscribing authorities, MRC also provides opportunities for shared learning and reflection by practitioners across the United Kingdom.
How can I join MRC events?
- Check the MRC Website Forthcoming Events Page. This is updated on a regular basis. or
- Join the MRC Mailing List. To sign up for the mailing list, to be sent the quarterly newsletter and be notified directly of forthcoming events, please email [email protected].
• Staff can attend as many webinars as they wish. It is included in the flat-rate subscription.
• All webinars are on Zoom.
