Information on learning and development resources in Adult Social Care

Learning and development

Nurturing and supporting our workforce is a key principle of valuing our staff. Camden is committed to ensuring that everyone has access to a comprehensive learning and development plan that will help them advance in their professional development and also equip them with skills and knowledge to carry out their role safely, effectively and to a high standard.

Further information can be found on the Learning at Camden page on Essentials

In Adult Social Care, a main driver for learning and development is What Matters, our strengths-based practice approach. Many of the learning opportunities are tailored to enable staff to:

  • Be empowered and work in a strengths-based way.
  • Keep pace with an ever changing operating environment.
  • Maintain and sustain practice standards on an ongoing basis

We want to support our staff to realise their personal strengths and to build experience and personal commitment to practice excellence. We will offer wide and varied opportunities for you to access to essential training you need for your role and for continuing professional development and career advancement. This will be underpinned by an assurance and improvement plan to make sure learning remains dynamic, flexible and adaptable to the changing nature of our work.

Your learning will be part of your wider personal, practice and performance planning which should be discussed in your supervision conversations.
