Supporting you in your role
Update, 13 December
Care Quality Commission (CQC) has recently shared some initial high-level feedback from the November inspection.
What shone through was that the feedback felt largely positive. It did not uncover any new, significant challenges. ASC Senior Managers feel the areas that the service identified that needed to be improved were correct, and reflected.
Additionally:
- The inspectors were really impressed by colleagues across Adult Social Care and their enthusiasm and commitment to their work, our focus on equalities, and the strong clarity we have around What Matters.
- Staff gave good accounts of What Matters and the Neighbourhoods and there is a strong story to tell around assessment, with mostly positive practice, strengths-based assessments
- Staff are informed about and learn from safeguarding investigations
- Work is taking place in regard to carers and autism and staff are supported.
CQC will share the draft report with us in February 2025. At that point, we will be given the opportunity to correct any factual inaccuracies.
Following that process, our final report will be published and ASC Senior Managers will be able to share it with Staff in ASC.
ASC Senior Managers would like to thank all Staff again, to everyone who took the time to speak with CQC and fed into our self-assessment phase, and to everyone who kept things running while many of us focused on the inspection.
When there are further updates they will be shared on this page.
