No single agency or individual can see the complete picture of the life of a resident, but all may have insights and can provide interventions that are crucial to their safety and wellbeing.
Working closely with other services and agencies to deliver a coordinated approach is essential when responding to a tenant’s vulnerability.
All professionals working within a multi-agency framework should:
Share proportionate and relevant information
Take part in joint assessments or multi-disciplinary meetings
Provide an integrated service delivery to the tenant and household
Agree upon designated lead professional coordinating the response and acting as a central point of contact with the tenant or household
Have open communication and space for reflection together
In Housing and Property Management, the relevant staff members providing enhanced support to tenants may bring cases or be called upon to attend high risk multi-agency panels or meetings. For more information on this and referral pathways, please see our vulnerability procedure.
