Fundamentals of good recording

Everyone has a responsibility to understand and adhere to guidance relating to case recording.

Good case recording should always be: 

  • Purposeful and relevant  

  • Clear and detailed 

  • Accurate (clearly differentiating fact from opinion)  

  • Up to date 

  • Reflective of the tenant's perspective  

  • Clear on where you have used professional judgment  

  • Professionally written

  • Jargon free
