If your resident or someone else is in immediate danger or risk of harm phone 999. It is important to distinguish crisis support from emergency support. In an emergency, someone’s life might be in danger, and you should call 999.
In an emergency, a resident can go to the emergency department at their local hospital. Hospital staff will be able to assess mental state and treat accordingly.
Camden has developed a wellbeing leaflet (PDF) that has information, advice and includes a range of practical things tenants can do to look after themselves and help others. This has been translated into multiple languages which you can find here: Mental health and wellbeing - Camden Council
Extra care housing supports people who have social care needs to live independently in their own home, whilst maintaining their privacy within an accommodation-based setting. The scheme provides high-quality care and support to adults who have been assessed as having needs that are eligible for social care funding, including those arising from varying degrees of physical frailty, learning disability, mental ill health and cognitive impairment, including dementia, or a combination of these. More information on how to apply and who can apply can be found online.
The Camden Companion is a downloadable essential guide to healthy living in Camden. It provides a directory of support and services in Camden that tenants may wish to consider to help them stay well and connect with local communities.
