There are simple ways we can all provide communication support, including:
Speaking clearly and at a moderate pace.
Using simple and direct language.
Avoiding jargon or complex vocabulary.
Being patient and allow extra time for the person to respond.
Minimize background noise and distractions.
Ask the person how they prefer to communicate and adapt where we can.
