Children and Families

If you are worried a child or young person is at risk of, or has suffered significant harm, you are required to complete a child safeguarding alert. You can see more information in the Safeguarding section. 

Further support options

Gingerbread – Provides information and advice via helpline and webchat for single parent families as well as community groups and wellbeing workshops. 

Children with Cancer UK - Funds projects for: Financial Hardship Funds;  
Free accommodation for families to stay near to children's hospitals throughout the country; Support programmes; Fun, free days out for families.   

Royal Society for Blind Children (RSBC) - Offers emotional support; advice; opportunities for children and young people to build confidence and skills across a range of activities. 

Brandon Centre and Brandon Reach Counselling and psychotherapy for young people 12-24. The Brandon Reach project service is for those who have lost their child through special guardianship or adoption
