Children and Families

Support at Camden

Camden Family Early Help

Early Help is about being here for when families are experiencing things that are starting to feel overwhelming. Early Help is for families with children of any age, from 0 to 19. It’s a voluntary service.

Every family is unique, and Early Help offers a range of support dependent on the family's need.

 

Early Help services includes:

  • Sure Start A full range of help and support in local children’s centre if the person is pregnant or have
    a child under 5.
  • Early Help Co-ordinators Someone to have a chat with to see how the service can help and what Early Help service might be most useful.
  • First Stop Early Help A team of family workers who will work alongside residents for up to 12 weeks, and help them and the network of people around them to feel on the right track.
  • Families in Focus A team of family workers who will work alongside families for 6 to 12 months.
  • Transformation Team A team of family workers who will work alongside families for 12 months plus.
  • Youth Early Help A full range of help and support for families with children aged 11 plus.

 

As well as family workers, there’s lots of other options:

  • Activities and groups 

  • Early help play 

  • Family group conferences

  • Parenting programmes 
  • Pregnancy and baby advice and support

Camden Council runs three main youth centres where young people aged 13 to 19 (25 if you have a learning disability) can get support, meet other young people and get involved in activities. for more information see Youth clubs and projects - Camden Rise - Camden Council 

The Local Offer is the single place that shows what support is available for children and young people 0-25 years with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including autism support.
