Other types of tenancy you may come across in landlord services.
These are tenancies that we offer to Camden members of staff to enable them to carry out their duties. Generally these members of staff tend to be either caretaking staff or sheltered wardens.
There are just over 100 service tenancies for our residential staff.
Service tenants have a specific service tenancy agreement and, for caretakers, a supply of these are held by the estates services managers.
The rights of service tenants vary markedly from secure and introductory tenants, for example, there is no right of succession, no right to buy and we do not offer joint service tenancies in the way we would for a new introductory or secure tenant.
Under certain circumstances a service tenant may be entitled to a secure tenancy once their employment has finished. These are looked at on a case by case basis and agreed by the head of service.
