Safeguarding in Housing and Property

Support and supervision

All Housing and Property Management Managers are responsible for ensuring that all staff receive regular supervision that supports effective safeguarding.

It is recommended that a supervision, check in, or debrief is arranged:

  • After a staff member identifies a concern

  • After the initial emergency strategy meeting

  • After any review or case conference

  • After a safeguarding case closure

  • At any other point in the safeguarding processes where staff indicate they may need additional support

All line managers are responsible for enabling staff to play an active role in the safeguarding process and providing advice and support throughout their involvement.
