Find out about housing for older council tenants in Camden
Camden council sheltered housing service manages 722 sheltered homes in Camden (there are a few more in the Brunswick centre managed by Kings Cross and Bloomsbury neighbourhood housing team).
These are homes for people over the age of 65.
They all have wardens and give access to Careline, Camden's community alarm service. They provide a higher degree of support than normal council tenancies.
The criteria for sheltered housing is on the Camden website.
The rights of sheltered tenants are the same as other Camden secure or introductory tenants although they do not have the right to buy.
There is a leaflet on Camden's website that can be handed to residents who may be interested in moving into sheltered housing.
The sheltered housing service is part of the housing management service in Camden. Email them here.
