Information to help manage residents safety.
A key part of our purpose is that we help residents have a safe home and environment. This includes both in and outside their homes including communal parts and estates. A key conversation at the start of a tenancy we also do this by working alongside other colleagues, for example, in estates services or repairs.
This document outlines the Council's approach to recording, investigating and reporting of incidents and concerns as part of the Mandatory occurrence reporting requirements under the umbrella of the Building Safety Act 2022.
It applies to current or future new build properties and applies to all Council employees, most notably the Supporting Communities Directorate and those directly involved in construction, building maintenance and housing management activities.
The policy outlines responsibilities of various staff and the statutory and internal reporting requirements.
