A brief description of who we work with.
The new landlord services started on the 17 June 2019 after a wide ranging review involving different members of staff. The different teams within housing management and landlord services are described here.
The ways of working of the new landlord service came out of the landlord review.
Camden has five tenant managed organisations (TMOs).
These are managed by a board of residents who employ their own staff. However, the people who live there are Camden council tenants housed there by Camden and who have the same tenancy conditions and same tenancy agreement as other Camden tenants.
Some housing management functions are carried out by the TMO and some by Camden. They all deal with:
However, for all, Camden collects the rent and arrears are managed by the rent and court services team. The neighbourhood teams are also always responsible for arranging temporary accommodation (if it is needed) for TMO residents.

The TMOs are supported by the TMO regulation and performance manager Kim Thompson. Kim does not manage the TMOs or their staff but supports the residents who do and monitors the TMOs themselves. She also helps other TRAs who might be interested in setting up a TMO.
