This team is managed by the housing investigations manager.

The team (HIT) is responsible for the investigation of all types of tenancy fraud such as;

• illegal subletting;
• non-occupation of a council tenancy;
• undeclared ownership of another property;
• fraudulent right to buy applications; and
• fraudulent succession applications.

HIT also take referrals from housing associations to investigate their cases.
