Our neighbourhoods and teams

The new landlord services started on the 17 June 2019 after a wide ranging review involving different members of staff.  The different teams within housing management and landlord services are described here.

The ways of working of the new landlord service came out of the landlord review.

Heat charges team

The Heat Charges Team is part of Leaseholder Services. It is managed by the Heat Charges Manager and consists of 3 Heat Charges Officers. The team interacts with many other teams within Camden, such as Neighbourhood Housing, Capital Works, CIP, M&E, Camden Living, etc.

The Heat Charges team are responsible for the heat charges of approximately 15,000 properties connected to Camden’s District Heating or Bulk Gas Networks (over 200).

This includes the administration of:

·       Metered Heat Charge Calculations for all tenures. (The Actuals)

  • Metered Heat Charge Estimates for all tenures. (The Estimates)
  • Site and Oracle Reconciliations for the Heat Charges.
  • To apply the annual surpluses and mini bulk gas refunds for tenancies.
  • To apply the new weekly heat charges to the tenancies.
  • Heat Scale Management for non- metered properties.
  • Heating Pool Calculations for all properties connected to Camden’s District Heating or Bulk Gas Networks;
  • All Heat Charges Queries except for non-metered Leaseholders which is the Service Charge Team.
  • Heat Rebate calculations once the loss of service has been approved by repairs.
  • Various communications to residents when moving from Heat Scales to Metered Charges, Meter reads being available on the Camden Account.
  • DEZNS and Ofgem Consultations regarding the up-and-coming Regulations for Heat Networks.
  • Heat Data Management, daily, weekly and monthly reviews and schedules.
  • Heat Meter Repair Management.
  • Continued development of the bespoke Billing solution for metered heat charges.
  • Surplus and Deficit Analysis along with metered weekly charges comparison to current heat scales.
