Tenants can get support from their energy suppliers if they have fallen into arrears with their utility bill. For more information on grants and schemes.
They might be able to get a grant from a charitable trust to help pay off their debts. Charis Grants has more information on available grants and how to apply.
The National Energy Action is a national fuel poverty and energy efficiency charity that offers a free support service known as WASH (Warm and Safe Homes). Tenants can contact advisors via telephone on 0800 304 7159 or webchat, NEA can help with energy debt, energy efficiency, trust fund applications, and water rates.

If a tenant is struggling to top up their meter please advise the tenant to contact their energy supplier as each energy supplier is providing support due to the cost of living crisis.
