Why support people into work?

  • Working, whether paid or unpaid, builds resilience, confidence, self-esteem and rewards financially. 
  • Good for health and wellbeing and can contribute towards a person's happiness. 
  • Welfare reform changes were designed to make those in work better off.

What the partnerships team do.

  • Provide a triage service for employment support, apprenticeships, training and volunteering and work with partners both internal and external service provider.

  • ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages).
  • Training.
  • Personal support to assist our residents back to or into work.
  • Building and maintaining a support network
    CV development and completing application forms.
  • Assistance with job search or linking residents with job opportunities.
  • Interview skills.

  • West Euston Partnership - Free information, advice and guidance on employment, training, education and careers.
  • Somers Town Job Hub – One-to-one guidance, CV support and access to training courses.

Good Work Camden job hub.  Offers a range of services for people wanting support to get into or back into employment.  The webpage has a link at the bottom to register.

Adult Education providers

For tenants who would like to retrain, upskill or follow up on a passion, the Mayor of London has provided more funding to adult education providers, for 19-23 year old who are unemployed or on a low income the course maybe free. More details here.
