Collective enfranchisement

Collective enfranchisement is when a group of leaseholders exercise the right to purchase the freehold of the building from the council.

There are various conditions that must be met which are outlined on the website here. 

We no longer have any repair or other responsibilities when we are granted back individual leases for any remaining tenanted flats.  In that instance we generally are responsible for any internal repairs and gas safety checks but not for the structure of the building.
