Getting residents involved
Our housing guidance site
There are things we can all do in our everyday to actively involve the person in their support, by sharing experiences, strengths, challenges and areas of improvement. Some of these include:
Using goal setting to get closer to resident's priorities and wishes. You can find a helpful goal setting tool here.
Using reflective practice with residents to review support provided at key junction points or during an ending. You can find a helpful reviewing tool here.
Getting residents thoughts on any assessments when it is safe and appropriate.
Signposting tenants to advocacy services where they need extra help communicating their views. You can find information on this here.
Where we can, encouraging residents to attend multi-agency meetings such as family group conferences.
Encouraging residents to make complaints via our complaints process and using any learning from complaints.
Where a resident provides service feedback, supporting them to pass it onto the relevant team.
Connecting residents to engagement opportunities and our engagement and participation services.
Communicating and engaging with existing TRAs where there are changes to estates or impacts to a community.
Sharing learning and stories of successful tenant engagement to inspire and encourage others. If you have a story to share, please sent to our engagement team.
