Getting residents involved
Our housing guidance site
At Camden, we are fortunate to have a long history of tenant action, and a variety of ways residents can get involved in change. We know that we cannot begin to tackle the housing challenges we are facing without the involvement of residents, and local connections and relationships it affords us. The people living in our homes are best placed to make decisions about their estates.
In Housing and Property Services, we are committed to our We Make Camden participation ambition that everyone living in Camden has the opportunity to become an active citizen. This is echoed in our ‘getting involved’ service standards, where we aim to:
Provide information on the performance of our services so residents can effectively hold us to account
Participation is part of our way or working at Camden and should run through everything we all do with residents. This means it is everyone's responsibility to enable and support resident voices to be heard and help to remove barriers to participation so everyone can come together to collaborate.
We have two services who work closely together to enable and unlock participation in Housing and Property. Our Housing and Property Engagement service and our Corporate Participation team. You can find out more about them and what they do in the other section.
