Within estates services there is a recycling project officer.

The officer promotes recycling on estates.

The aims are to:

• Increase recycling.
• Reduce refuse.
• Make recycling easier for residents.
• Improve aesthetics and appearance of properties.
• Reduce fly-tipping.
• Increase use of standard bin sizes which give no space for depositing waste other than in the bin.
