Free essential household items

Our partners Brightsparks have been successful securing funding from the Social Enterprise Support Fund, distributed by UnLtd. 

The funding is for Brightsparks to supply residents affected by COVID-19 with the following re-used items free of charge.

Eligible households can have any combination of items:

• Washing machines.
• Fridge freezers.
• Electric cookers.
• Bedside Cabinet (pairs).
• Wardrobes.
• Chest of drawers.
• Armchairs.
• 2 or 3 Seater Sofas.

Brightsparks will deliver and install the items free of charge but will not be able to take away the old items unless they are reusable.  The white goods will come with a 12 months warranty from the date of installation.

The aim is to promote re-use, reduce waste and prevent vulnerable people from turning to payday loans to buy essential household items.
