• They will talk with the person calling them to assess the situation and make a plan about what to do next.

They are an access point to:

• Crisis Resolution Teams (North / South) – aim to care for individuals in the least restrictive environment (in residents’ homes) but may refer on to a Crisis House or psychiatric hospital if necessary.
• Crisis Houses – for urgent and short term (up to 2 weeks) stay in a non-inpatient ward setting, providing practical and emotional mental health support. This is limited due Covid, and most people will be managed at home.
