About Us

The Major Repairs team is responsible for delivering largescale and technically complex repair works to our housing stock on behalf of our residents and leaseholders. Unlike day today repairs, our service focuses on projects that require specialist investigation, structural expertise, and longer term planning. 

Core Responsibilities 

Our primary focus is on structural works, particularly where buildings have been affected by issues such as subsidence, ground movement, or other forms of structural failure. These cases often require: 

  • Detailed investigation and diagnosis 

  • Monitoring over several seasons to understand movement patterns 

  • Designing and delivering major structural repairs 

  • Works such as underpinning, superstructure strengthening, and fabric reinstatement 

  • Repairs that require a leasehold consultation above the Section 20 threshold
  • Repairs that require a major structural element, underpinning etc.
  • Repairs that require a party wall agreement
  • Repairs that require insurable/recoverable cost
  • Repairs stemming from a major fire
