Tools for Exploration and Assessments

Tools for Exploration and Assessments

In this section you will find some Resilient Families tools to help with starting out your relationship journey with a family, including assessments. Here you're in exploration phase, and you'll be doing a number of face-to-face and/or virtual visits.

Remember that the Remote Direct Work Kit Bag also contains a wealth of resources to support your exploration phase and direct work with all the family members, so do check it out in the COVID Guidebook here https://ascpractice.camden.gov.uk/early-help-guide/family-early-help-covid-guidebook/fscf-procedures-during-covid/remote-direct-work-kit-bag/#main

At each stage in the helping process, its a good idea to give yourself some space, may be before supervision, to reflect on how you think the work with a family is going. It will give you a chance to name whats working well, reflect on things you might do differently next time, things that are presenting you with a dilemma or making you feel stuck.
