In this section, you will find general information about Camden schools during COVID, including open and closed schools, free school meals, school transport, uniform and COVID testing in schools. Every Camden school will be approaching the school day differently according to their unique circumstances, so please advise parents to contact their child's school directly for information and advice.

Regular School Place Applications

Camden organises applications for school places at primary and secondary schools each year at set times (September to January for primary schools, and October for secondary schools). You can find more information here:

In-Year School Place Applications

In-year applications (when you need to make an application to a school outside of the normal admissions round) are run by Camden schools themselves.

You should make an in-year admission application if:

  • You have moved to Camden and have school-aged children who need places at local schools
  • Your child is in school and you want to apply for a transfer to another school in Camden
  • You live in Camden and have school-aged children who are not in school or receiving education elsewhere.
