Family Early Help
New Parents
IEYS run an antenatal parenting group called Bumps to Babies. Its a 5-week programme covering:
- Preparing for and managing labour
- Bonding with your baby before/after the birth
- Working out your baby’s sounds, signals and cues
- Coping with crying and comforting your baby
- Becoming a parent and your changing relationships
- Where to go if you need a little extra help

Manor Gardens Blossoms Project
A brilliant service in the community to help pregnant women and new mums and dads get support and advice to look after their own wellbeing and give their baby the best start in life.
The service is delivered by a mix of trained staff, bilingual Maternity Mentors, and volunteers out in the community.

Young Parents
IEYS's Young Parents Together group reopens on 22 June 2021 at 1pm. This is a postnatal support group specifically for mums and dads who are under 26 and who have children under 5.
Day: Every Tuesday
Time: 1-3pm
Where: Harmood children’s centre
Who? Mums and dads who are under 26 years with a child(ren) under 5 years
Due to current covid-19 guidance, IEYS are limiting group size and parents will have to be invited/booked to attend.
If you or a member of your team would like to refer a family to us for invitation, please send the following details to [email protected], mentioning the Young Parents Together group in the subject line
- Child full name and date of birth
- Mums full name, email address and telephone number
- Dads full name, email address and telephone number
- Any other useful information

Perinatal Peer Support (121 volunteers)
Parents Matter is a programme run by Family Lives providing peer support during the perinatal years (pregnancy up to 2 years old). Parents are paired with a local volunteer who will listen to how you're feeling and can:
- visit you at home
- keep in touch by phone, text, or video call
- connect you with parents who have had similar experiences
- speak a range of different languages
