Food

This section contains information about food for families during COVID including a food flow chart, foodbanks, emergency food parcel deliveries, supermarket vouchers and more. 

Please read the food flow chart tab FIRST.  This will show you the steps to take to decide what to do to secure food for your family. 

Then select the option you need from the tabs on the left

There are a number of schemes providing food for children during the summer holidays. These are in addition to the organisations providing COVID emergency food parcels, hot meal delivery, and foodbanks.

 

Calthorpe Community Gardens (WC1)

Calthorpe are offering both free football sessions 12-2pm, plus a free vegetarian meal every Thursday and Friday throughout August (don't have to do the football, children can just have some food instead if they'd prefer). Contact details below 

 

Corams Fields (WC1)

Corams Field are providing 150 children with 2 free meals each week from Corams Field Cafe. Call Corams for more details 0207 837 6138 or email [email protected]

 

NW5 Project (NW5)

NW5 are providing free lunches between 12.30 - 2pm at their project near the Peckwater Estate in Kentish Town. Call 020 7485 8165 or email [email protected] 

 

Sidings (NW6) and SHAK (NW8) Holiday Food and Activities Hubs

Sidings Community Centre and SHAK are running Holiday Food Programmes for children
in low income families and children eligible for FSM. There will be 2 meals provided each
day to take away, and a range of virtual and onsite activities.

Young Camden Foundation Holiday Food Hubs (NW5, WC1 and WC2)

In addition to SHAK and Sidings, Young Camden Foundation are working in partnership with QCCA, Dragon Hall Trust and Calthorpe Gardens to provide food and activities for children. Contact the centres direct for more details (contact details here):

KCBNA (WC1)

KCBNA are  giving out FREE containers of biryani every Tuesdays 3.30-5.30pm at the Youth Centre in August. Just call them to reserve a container or simply pop down and collect. For local young people aged 11-21yrs old.
