Resettlement Grants for People Moving Home
These grants are Camden funding. They are to help people moving into new tenancies that do not have the essentials to create a home and have no funding available.
Awards will be focused on those the Council is helping to house to help create sustainable tenancies and avoid homelessness including people fleeing domestic violence or other community safety issue, moving out of temporary, emergency or housing pathway accommodation, setting up home after long stay institutions where housing was provided including mental health, prison or armed forces or to help the applicant or their partner care for a prisoner or young offender on temporary release
Eligibility Criteria
- Maximum award will be £1000 and only one per year. Expected to be the essential needs of a home only
- Awards are not available for those remaining in the same tenancy or to pay for repairs /replacement for existing items apart from in exceptional circumstances. The majority of awards will be in the form of furniture, electrical appliances and household goods with appropriate warranties and guarantees.
