COVID NHS and Government Information

In this section, you will find information and links from the NHS about COVID, including information in a range of languages, explaining COVID to children, shielding, high-risk and moderate-risk groups, and more.

Travelling To the UK

On 8 June, the Government put new rules in place for people travelling to the UK. Anyone who comes to the UK must:

  • complete a public health passenger locator form 48 hours before travelling
  • Self isolate for 14 days on arrival in the UK

You can find information about the passenger locator form here:

https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk

And information about the rules for self-isolating after travelling the UK here:

There is a very limited number of people, groups and locations who are exempt from the new border rules and you can find information about them here:

COVID International Travel Restrictions & Quarantine

The UK is currently placing restrictions on travel to and from some countries. This might mean you can only travel to or from those countries for 'essential travel only. It might also mean if you are returning to the UK from these countries, you may need to self isolate.

This list of countries changes all the time, depending on the COVID risk level in that country.

You can find the latest travel advice on which places are currently restricted here  (last updated 27 August but will change regularly):

There is also a list of countries subject to quarantine (self isolation) rules here:
