Guidance on Self Isolating (updated 22 December 2021)
Guidance on when to self-isolate changed on 22 December 2021 (and previously on 15 December and 16 August 2021). You can read the latest NHS self isolation guidance here
If you do need to self isolate, the self isolation period is 10 days. On 22 December 2021, the Government announced that this reduces to 7 days if you have a negative LFD test on day 6 and 7.
You can find NHS information about that on the link below. It is still a legal requirement to self-isolate if you are told to by NHS Test and Trace. You could be fined if you do not self-isolate.

Guidance on Self-Isolating (updated 10 September 2020)
The self isolation period has now increased to 10 days (previously 7 days) and 14 days if someone in your household has symptoms or if you arrive in the UK from abroad. You can find NHS information about this here
