Conflict or Violence in the Home

Conflict or Violence in the Home

This section contains information about support with domestic violence, harmful parental conflict, emergency accommodation and many more sources of advice and information for families experiencing violence or conflict

IMPORTANT: If you are at risk of injury or harm in your home, you can leave the house.  The government guidance is clear that you can do this and that the social distancing regulations do not apply if you need to leave the home to escape risk of injury or harm.

Boots

Hestia have launched a new scheme with Boots Pharmacy to offer a safe space for women experiencing DV during COVID. Victims of domestic abuse will be able to access safe spaces at Boots pharmacies consultation rooms where they can contact specialist domestic abuse services for support and advice.

Whilst in the consultancy room, people will have access to:

  • 24-hour National domestic abuse helpline: 0808 2000 247
  • Men’s advice line: 0808 801 032
  • Signposting to download free mobile app Bright Sky, which provides support and information to anyone who may be in an abusive relationship or those concerned about someone they know.
