Conflict or Violence in the Home

This section contains information about support with domestic violence, harmful parental conflict, emergency accommodation and many more sources of advice and information for families experiencing violence or conflict 

IMPORTANT: If you are at risk of injury or harm in your home, you can leave the house.  The government guidance is clear that you can do this and that the social distancing regulations do not apply if you need to leave the home to escape risk of injury or harm.  

Solace Womens Aid COVID Crisis Beds 

70 spaces for women & children, ensuite facilities, food provided, welcome packs & toys for children, with specialist support. Open to agencies and women direct to contact us. Equivalent of 3 new refuges in London & we are ready to help you to safety. 

 

 

Camden's Emergency Accommodation Response

All councils have a legal duty to give advice and help to homeless people. If you’re too frightened to stay in Camden you can contact another council

As you’ve left your home due to violence, you will not be intentionally homelessBut you’re rehoused by a council, you may have to spend time in a bed and breakfast or hostel before you're rehoused permanently. 

 

Camden Landlord Services Neighbourhood Officers Support

If you’re a council tenant experiencing threat or violence in your home, you can contact your housing/neighbourhood officer. They will provide advice on other safety options such as: 

  • alarms 
  • neighbour support network 
  • mobile patrol 
  • injunctions
